Delivery Location: This qualification will be delivered at individuals’ workplaces that are approved and assessed as compliant for the activities to be conducted for the training required.

Course Duration: The expected duration of this course is over a 57-week period.

What will you learn in the CPC30720 – Certificate III in Rigging?

This course is designed to develop your expertise in rigging. Among others, you will learn to:

  • Contribute to work health and safety processes
  • Apply environmentally sustainable work practices
  • Perform Intermediate Rigging
  • Non-Slew Crane operations

How is the course structured?

All learners will be assessed through a combination of the following:

  • Observation during on-the-job or role play simulation
  • Questioning may include self-assessment, verbal answers, written questionnaires, activity modules or interview
  • Structured activities may include Projects, Case studies, presentations, role play, demonstration, progressive tasks, virtual reality experience

What are the entry requirements?

Forky Stick Training and Safety further screens learners according to the following criteria:

Age Restrictions

  • Due to the nature of the industry, students must be 18 or over 18 years of age to apply for High Risk Work Licence

Academic Requirements

  • Students must hold CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry prior to the commencement of their training and assessment activities.

Language Literacy and Numeracy

  • ALL learners will be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment (LL&N) *.

Employment Requirements

  • Students must be employed full-time within the construction industry.
  • Approval from their employer to participate in this course is obtained using a “Work-based training logbook”.
  • Access to a workplace supervisor that holds the necessary skills and knowledge relevant to each unit of competency within this course offering. Confirmation of adequate supervision is captured in the “Work-based training logbook”.
  • Access to appropriate workplace facilities and equipment is captured using the “Facility Checklist”.

Student Resources

  • Students are required to have the following PPE (at their own expense):
    • Hi-vis safety vest
    • Gloves, safety glasses
    • Steel-capped boots
    • Hi-vis long pants and Hi-vis long-sleeved shirt
  • A computer with an Internet access with a reliable speed of at least 5mbps
  • Google Chrome (recommended browser)
  • MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel or equivalent applications.
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader or equivalent application

*Learners who do not meet the LLN requirements of the course may still enrol into the course provided the enrolment has been endorsed by the trainer and corresponding additional support strategies have been put in place.

  • TLILIC0005 – Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length 11 metres or more)

What are the course fees?

The CPC30720 – Certificate III in Rigging course is available for only $6,500.

Initial deposit of $1,500.00 upon enrolment + remaining balance to be paid 23 monthly instalments of $218.00.

Qualification Outcome

On successful completion of this course (the student being deemed competent in all units, along with payments in full receipted) the student will be awarded the CPC32920 – Certificate III in Construction Crane Operations

If only units are completed and not the full qualification Forky Stick Training and Safety will award a Statement of Attainment. The qualification will be awarded in line with the guidelines outlined in the VET Quality Framework.
